So much of Rome and Venice; including infrastructure, was deliberatley designed and built with artistic craftmanship. The international respect for the aesthetics of these places has lasted for centuries. I love where I live but I do wish that city planners had kept my city moving forward with a lot more of the old world architecture in tact. Most of modern construction is so generic and astiere.

I have my blog open to see comments like yours – they make this slaving a lot easier 🙂 I wish you could go to Rome soon. I advise avoiding Summer season – it is very hot and packed with tourists.November was perfect cause I had a wonderful weather, but there are no guarantees 😉
