    • I don’t see the beauty. But brutal? Yes.

Interesting shot. Like you were having either a remarkably bad or remarkably good day when you took this.

      • I was having a good day :), but the picture is owed to a photo opportunity that presented itself. It made me sit on asphalt and take it. Thank you, Dinkerson for the comment. I always appreciate your honesty πŸ™‚

  4. World through your eyes is almost identical to mine. πŸ™‚
No matter how high up the food chain you are, there will always be an asshole to step on you.
I can just imagine the horror of this Triton (Salamandra salamandra). It was probably trying to find a nice clear stream, mate, or was just looking for his spot under the sun when someone spilled his guts.
Fantastic picture and realistic take on life. We are not living in pink bubble be ware of big shadow approaching and and try to stay out of it.

  5. What a capture Paula! They say photography is not only about capturing ‘beauty’, it is also about presenting facts. You’ve done just that! Kudos!

  6. I have lots n’ lots to talk about life, especially death. I came to realize lots n’ lots lately and I expect that too will go in the bin with time as the count of grey hair and the receding hairline battle it out who wins but one thing that won’t change is, I’ll stare in the eye of death, never fear that moment not just cause I want it in fact I live life better than most but I think I’m done and the idea of rebirth is stupid. If true, who cares. I don’t know about my last so how does next matter. In fact I’ve made it clear and simple to him. Let’s get done with whatever you have in mind in this very life itself. Anything that remains pending, is your fault not mine. I’m not asking for anything except for………..Ha Ha!

    • I’m under impression you’ve had a close encounter with death, or was it a spiritual rebirth? Please, do share πŸ˜€

      • Many around me not with me. Spiritual rebirth, I can’t claim that but I’ve always been fascinated with the thought of death and related stuff. I acquainted myself with the idea from my early days and I make it a point to visit and be present in the last days of anyone I know.

    • πŸ™‚ Sorry I missed that comment of yours earlier Sylvia :). I love organ music. Yes, it is not very often one can spot a Triton, and when I do he is already dead…

  7. Great detail, composition, and use of DOF, while being kind of gross at the same time. Intriguing, very intriguing.
