P.S. I was very surprised to find myself on the list of Best Photo Blogs poll.
Though I know I don’t deserve to be among the best, I am sincerely thankful to everybody who cast a vote for me.

You have gorgeous eyes Paula!
Thank you, Meghan!
Thank you, Janet 🙂
Oh but there is nothing stopping you from doing a new one 🙂 So I will wait to see the 5 year older you . 🙂
Oh, I have recent photos (plenty) but not self-portraits 😀
that’s an excuse 🙂 I am sure if I can you can lol 🙂
One can rarely take a spontaneous photo of oneself. Luckily I have hubby for that. Anyway, I don’t find myself a fascinating subject to photograph.
Even though I am a photographer, its not rubbed off on my wife, I asked her to video the Olympic flame when it past through my town, while I photographed it,…..there were more video of the road than the flame. 🙂
My husband is a great photographer. Sorry, neither of us is into sports not one bit.
Me neither, but it was a historic occasion for GB hosting the Olympics, least I have the photos 🙂
Sports are boring. I didn’t even knew that it was supposed to be the olympics, but I watched something on TV and then it said “12 days until the olympic starts”. My wife thought it was in Brazil.
Nice self-portrait by the way.
It is refreshing to see a male thinking sports are boring :). Hubby too is more indifferent to them than me. Thank you for complimenting my self-photo. I had no idea what I was doing .. just me au naturel in front of a mirror 😉
I have tons of self-portraits, but I don’t think I’ll post them in the blog.. Or perhaps I will? For now I’ll stick to the ones I’ve posted.
Yeah come on my norwegian friend… 🙂 😉
I agree with Drake.. Some us some! 🙂
I wouldn’t mind seeing more 😀
Agree with you, rarely they will be spontaneous and spontaneous photos (in my eyes) are probably the best – when this is said, so this photo here is absolutly wonderful – have said it before, your eyes, they alone are a photo worth – the eyes are always the first thing I notice about other people (even on girls) they tell so much – I have a very good friend who was born blind, he asked me what I saw in his eyes and I said, “Your black humor”… 🙂
Bellissima Paula ! Tu es magnifique ! 🙂
🙂 Bisous Julie …

Nicely done Paula. It doesn’t look like a selfie, as often in those kind of shots you can see the arms stretched out in tension.
This one had arm too, but I cropped it 😉 Thank you Draco 🙂

Nice candid shot of yourself. My only self-portrait dates back to 2007 and you can’t see my face beneath my bright red hair! I use it as my avatar on Flickr.
Won’t you post it here?
Well, my flickr page is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevie_gill/
😀 That’s R E D 🙂 You have terrrific photos, Stevie, very versatile – just the way I like 🙂
I found a pic I really love – can’t comment over there – it is a pic of metalic looking leaves :O
Thanks. Although I’m not sure which picture you’re referring too!
I will try to find it on WordPress 😀
Oh yeah, forgot about that picture!
I can’t find it on your blog though 😀
Even though it is 5 years old this selfie is lovely. I agree with those who say you have beautiful eyes. And you absolutely deserve to be on that list! 😀
