Thursday’s Special: The Wings of Love

Kate Croy is a poor girl who wants to marry a poor boy. Her aunt wants her to marry a Lord. To get her way, Kate needs money. She meets a rich American orphan named Milly Theale, who has a fatal disease, and has come to Europe to live before she dies. Milly likes Kate’s poor boy, whose name is Merton Densher. Slowly, subtly, revealing her hand one card at a time, Kate unfolds a scheme in which Merton will marry Milly, Milly will die, and Merton will inherit her money and be able to marry Kate.

**About Thursday’s Special: It is a ‘non-challenge’ challenge that appeals to bloggers eager to wake up their creativity and show their own ideas and interpretation of the world. I invite everybody interested to join in. There are no themes, titles and techniques set for your expression, there are no limits and restrictions (no red tape whatsoever). The only thing required is to post a photo post on Thursdays entitled “Thursday’s Special: (your theme/title)” (as explained in my Thursday’s Special introductory post), to provide a link to my Thursday’s Special post, and to leave a link to your post in the comments section of my post. If you like Thursday’s Special widget, feel free to grab it and post it on your blog.

  1. I LOVE the music you have shared with us today Paula. I think it suits the drama that would unfold in James’ novel.

  2. Lovely music. My favourite of his is The Bostonians. I think it’s the greatest character study in literature. Can you play any instruments?

  10. Dear Paula,

thank you very much for sharing 🙂

May I ask you a question, please? A couple of days ago I was interviewed by one of the big German radio stations about the colour yellow. I have got this interview in mp3. Dina, our Bookfayries and me want to go on publishing posts about the symbolism of colours. My question is: How to integrate a mp3-file into a WP blog?

We wish you a happy weekend 🙂
