I used to post a single photo on Mondays to remember all the nice places I visited, and to make my return to the office easier, but since Jo started inviting us to post a series of photos for her Monday walk, I have been trying to compile a gallery that would recreate walks I took on my holidays and days-off. I hope you’ll enjoy this stroll through the most romantic part of Paris – Montmartre. You can also listen to a newer version of the famous La Boheme (originally sung by Charles Aznavour). Happy Monday to all visitors!
Notre Dame de Clignancour, my first stop in Montmartre
Sacre Coeur seen from the side. The rendition of this photo in B&W is so much better.
237 steps later I was rewarded with this view.
The view from the bottom of the steps revealed massive crowds of tourists and street musicians. If only they had been playing some good and authentic music…
I’m flattered that you went to so much trouble, Paula. They are a lovely compilation 🙂 Thank you so much for your company. Have a good week! It’s a Bank Holiday here this coming Monday and I may be chasing Roman soldiers if the weather cooperates.
Yes, if I can persuade the other half. Our walking group will be out and he’d probably prefer to go out with them. I’ll still post. I usually cheat and do my Monday walk on Sunday night. I’d never get it done otherwise 🙂
Yes, you have seen the view of Basilica Sacre Coeur (from a side) before and the photo of one of its towers. These are my favourite shots of Paris and I had to make different versions of them 😉
Great architecture in Paris and you have shown some lovely angles. Are you using HDR processing? It is very effective on the Sacre Coeur.

Hi Jude 🙂 I do use HDR sometimes. Here I used it on the shot of the street, but not on Sacre Coeur. Thank you for your visit and comment.
