You tempted me beyond resistance, Paula. 🙂
is the bit that’s missing. Sorry. I’m a dickhead.
I have NO IDEA what happened back there. I do apologise, however. Ignore that link. Use this one.
Arezzo looks quite mysterious especially in B&W. Your contribution is accepted with ovation dear Margaret-Rose 🙂
Ah, but you must now visit my Home page, which is the one you see called “And then like my dreams: still and moving picture”, to be set on the right path … 😉
Of course I will… and all before breakfast 😀
Lovely shot. I put one up today which is black and white.
Thank you Alex 🙂 If you want me to link to it, you know what you have to do 😀
Beautiful, Paula. Now you’ve got me wondering about secrets…
Exactly! Those gorgeous mountaing in your part of the world but just what deep dark secrets are held there that you are aware of?
There is a story set in 1866 of a mysterious light emanating from the summit of Mount Cristallo, which acts as a curse on the small village of Santa Maria at the foot of the Mountain. Whenever the light of the full moon causes the blue light to appear the young men of the village are lurred to their deaths, climbing the mountain in vain attempts to learn the secret of the light …
Hello dear Lisa… the region of Dolomites is full of legends and stories. This was the site of some battles in WWII, but also there is a story I’ve heard that was used as a synopsis for a film from 1932. You can see more in my reply to Mofman 😀
Thanks for the information, Paula. I’ll check out your reply to Mofman now. 🙂
Here’s my contribution to the challenge – http://artifactsandfictions.wordpress.com/2014/06/08/junes-inward-turnings/ Your theme of mystery suited my mood perfectly. 🙂
And your photos are perfect for my Sunday, Suzanne. Thank you 🙂

A beautiful photo. But I see no mystery- which is good because there is no mystery with mine, either. http://emiliopasquale.wordpress.com/2014/06/07/black-and-white-sunday-mystery/
😀 There is plenty of mystery in this photo and in yours :). I love it, Emilio. Thank you very much for participating 🙂
Stunning scenery, beautifully shot. Where is this Paula?
Hello Draco 🙂 This is Landro Lake with a view of Mount Cristallo. The location is Italian Dolomites not far from well-known winter resort Cortina d’Ampezzo. Thank you for your comment and nice visit 🙂
Wow what a sight for a sunday, beautiful, thanks!
Have a good one, Ron.
And you have a great one Ron 🙂 Thank you so much 🙂
Beautiful, beautiful shot Paula. And a gorgeous reflection.
And I’m joining in this week: http://travelwithintent.com/2014/06/08/scott-monument-hesitating-timid/
There is a lot of mystery in this tower silhouette. Much appreciated Deb. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Your photo is perfection! Compostion, reflection, tone and texture. I have a little black and white where, I wonder where they are headed?

What a beautiful setting you have shown us Paula.
Thought of you as I was walking yesterday with my daughter. Took these pictures with you in mind – hope you like them: http://collinesblog.wordpress.com/2014/06/08/fire-hydrant/
Oh, I do, I do 😀 Wow, thank you so much. I knew you had an inquiring mind and this is one more proof. Great close-ups dear Colline! Thank you for taking time to do the post and for linking. I love it 🙂
Thank you Paula. You have certainly opened my eyes to look at things without colour 🙂
Thank you, Beach Traveler 🙂
Your story suddenly makes that stunning scene seem ominous!! 🙂
I know 😀 That was the idea.;)
What a superb scene to slip into, invigorating and relaxing at the same time . . .
Very beautiful shot, Paula. Here is my contribution: http://livingwithmyancestors.wordpress.com/2014/06/08/black-white-sunday/
Thank you kindly Linda 🙂

This is interesting. How do I participate? Love the photo btw.
Hello Katarina, there is nothing to it. All you need is a B&W photo and link it to my post saying it is your contribution to B&W Sunday. As for theme, you are free to do whatever you want. Regards, Paula
Aha. So easy that was 🙂
“LIKE” What a fantastic shot. The reflection just puts it over the top.

Hi Paula, I’d like to play along in this week’s challenge. Here is my entry, which has a very different take on ‘mystery’:
Happy to see you join in, Elizabeth. Loving your entry 🙂
I just love that photo 🙂
Hi Paula. I’m behind on my commenting and blogging again. The summer is finally here, so we have to enjoy it as much as we can for the few days that it lasts before autumn and winter returns 🙂
Great shot and I like your explanations to Allan & Lisa. I was wondering about the same thing.
You should join Leanne & Laura’s ‘Monochrome Madness’. You could send them your weekly Sunday photo after you’ve posted it here.
I’ll think about it CG 🙂 Thank you for commenting.
I gave it a thought 🙂 I am very busy these days and my B/W Sunday is an event in itself, so I will not link it further to other black and white challenges. When I started it I conceived it as a challenge just for myself, and then other people stepped in asking me to make a challenge with widget out of it. So, as you see I am quite happy with the way things are. I am sorry but sometimes there is no room for more interaction here.
Beloved Dolomites!! Only you can capture the majesty of it, Paula!
Awww…I wonder if High Tatras will have the same effect on me 😉
Beautifully captured, you expertly convey the depth, as well as B&W being an excellent choice.
It’s a compelling photo, Paula.
