  1. Nice. Very. 🙂 the contrast was not immediately obvious. All the better!

  3. What a splendid photo. Such detail of bird feathers and of water; a wonderful limited palette; and then the contrasting red of the bird’s beak.

  4. Love this shot! I had two swans and a goose off our dock this winter. They stayed all day and allowed me to walk out and sit about 20 feet away. I probably have 300 shots of them. They are beautiful creatures.

  5. BTW, I like your comment on comments. I feel the same way, either say something and interact or go away. How do I get rid of the like button. I told someone yesterday that I was getting rid of it.

  12. Magnificent, Paula… So alive I have the feeling it will raise head any moment and slide away majestically, like owning the lake… 🙂

  14. The softness of the swan’s plumage against the harshness of the almost grey waters – the fluidity of liquid against the solidity of the creature cutting its way through: both hard and soft, depending on what we bring to the metaphorical table. Thank you for the challenge 🙂

      • My pleasure, Paula. Your image made me stand back and really think: what did the artist attempt to capture? – always a good thing in my books 🙂
