Thursday’s Special: Park
After last week’s challenging theme inflated to which you responded with brilliant interpretations, this week’s theme does not seem like a challenge at all. Spring is probably the time of year when we go to parks most, so here it is – an ordinary park with ordinary park population.
Now, let me have a look at the parks that you visit. For those living in the southern hemisphere – parks are very beautiful in autumn too ๐
Before I go, I’d like to thank you all for voting for the last week’s entries. The most votes went to Jude fromย smallbluegreenwords.wordpress.com. ย For my part, I want to congratulate all the participants. I loved your imaginative and creative entries and you are all winners in my eyes ๐ .ย

P.S. I will stick with this idea of voting for some time still to see if it will get more people interested, and yield more logical voting results. For now, I have to say I agree with Tobias’s comment on the “Voting time” post.ย
I’ll be away on business till Saturday, but will look at your entries for this new challenge when I come back. Enjoy your Thursday!
ย

Well done, Jude! ๐ I was waiting for your post this morning, because it just so happens I spent some of my time wandering in Polish parks. It was a bit later than normal (the voting process, of course) so I went with Jude’s Wildflowers but I’ll take you walking on Saturday if you like. Hope the business trip isn’t too strenuous. Sending hugs ๐ ๐

On a day to day basis, many parks over here in Jo’burg often do not have quite the same roam where thou wilt care free atmosphere one may associate with the daylight hours in Hyde Park, Regent’s Park or even Central Park. However, if the opportunity avails I will see I can get a resident wino or local mugger to pose for a photograph on the promise of money, if not life! ๐

beautiful theme; it makes summer comes faster (in Paris, it’s still very hesitant…)

Parks are wonderful spaces with so much for everyone. Your park looks like a lovely place to wander. I found this interesting as I have posted parks from Europe and Australia and the difference in the lighting is so evident. The European parks have the same colours as your park whilst the Australian ones are quite different. I wonder if you can see it also. https://irenewaters19.com/2016/05/19/parks-purposes-thursdays-special/

Oh yes, and I wish I could compare them in person. Gorgeous park scenes, Irene. Please help me choose the best one.

The one that probably draws me the most is the Swedish park with the prams and bikes and view but I ended up choosing Swiss park with the feet in the flying saucer contraption. So number 2.

Congrats to Jude that really was an outstanding photo. Love the theme this week I have gone a bit overboard with the photos, hope you don’t mind Paula. Your park is so serene, I love the weeping willows. I’m in the tropics this week. https://memoriesaremadeofthisblog.wordpress.com/2016/05/20/thursday-special-park/

A perfect park – water, a bridge, leaning trees, and park music. And a perfect challenge for me, amidst Warsaw’s 67 parks. Like Irene, I reflect on the difference between parks here and parks back there. I can’t use the home word!
Here’s my park for the day

67!!!!??!! I love your park over there, and the thought that Marie Curie used to ran there, and that Chopin lived in that palace, what fun!

A lovely park indeed. There aren’t many here in Mexico city. And what there is in bad shape. Poorly maintained. A shame. ๐ฆ
But thank you for the peace you give with your photo. A T. ๐
