It conjures up the past so well- especially in black and white. Such perfect music to go with it too.

Had to look this one up, and I see it’s at Malcesine….I’ve been there, albeit briefly, and don’t recall a castle!!
LikeLike
You can’t recall it cause it is not at Malcesine. It’s at Valeggio sul Mincio

Good idea to extend this to black and white, Paula. I love your peaceful music and hope you’ve managed a similar weekend before you dive back into the madness. The castle is beautiful and I can see what Sue was thinking. It reminds me very much of the castelo at Sirmione, also on Lake Garda. Happy days I spent there. 🙂 🙂

Yes, it does remind of Sirmione which I visited a few years back and I did not know of the castle that Sue mentioned, but I will visit it too God willing. Thanks for the support Jo and good wishes. Wish you a carefree week too xx

This is an amazing castle, Paula – sort of wedding cake turrets on the towers. My castle is much more chunky: http://wp.me/pKVAM-1Xp
Good to hear there will be more traces of the past challenges.

Yeah, great comparison 🙂 Cheers Tish. I had a feeling you would not disappoint and I was right 🙂

history within the United States…pales in comparison to European and Asian history…there is an aweness about how some in Europe live in the same community as their forefathers and live in neighborhoods dating back to medieval times.

This is quite a castle Paula, I had to look up where it is. Italy. I would never have guessed. Your B&W conversion suits it well and I am happy to join in this week. I actually have a few ideas for this theme , so thank you.
