I don’t know about you, but I could use a bit of calm this time of year.
CALM in nature, in a closed space, or a metaphor for calm within you – there is a number of choices to interpret today’s theme.
I look forward to seeing your entries for this challenge which you may post any time before 24 November. In the meantime, have a calm and happy Thursday!
P.S. If you haven’t seen the entries for the last week’s challenge, you may find the linkshere.
Lovely photo and one of the truly calming things in my life is water: A majestic lake, the dynamic power of a river, the quietness of a small pond or stream and the vastness of the ocean. Great capture. I hope this finds you and your well.
Thank you, John. I am doing pretty well, all things considered. I have missed seeing you around. I know it is the dark part of the year, but I hope you are well. Peace
All those greens, and the floaties on that still water. Every blade of grass and bark fissure so clear and distinct. And then those beautiful boats. Your photo is the epitome of calm.
Yes, I think it will be, thanks, Paula. 🙂 And this afternoon I have a t’ai chi class which will certainly help. But I’d much prefer to jump in that boat and splash away. My rowing would absolutely disturb your beautiful calm. Hugs, sweetheart!
What a restful spot, Paula. You have captured it beautifully.
Like you, I definitely need some calm at the moment – just way too much to do
Have a good day!
A most tranquil scene – I love the boats floating under the tree – the scene reminds me of Lake Bled. Water is always calming I think, unless during a winter storm on the coast! Very blustery here today Paula, I shall see what calm images I have lurking in the digital shoe box for you. Happy Thursday!
Thank you very much, Jude. The boats on Bled are very different. I should go back there to take a decent photograph. Yes, water is purifier and energizer in almost all of its forms. This calm surface belongs to the river Mincio near Mantua. I appreciate your nice comment and I look forward to some calm response from you 🙂
When I saw the title I clicked on this in need and hope. The scene you have shown closely resembles the image I summon when meditating if my thoughts get too busy or wide-ranging. We all need this at the moment. Thanks.
Si – could use touch of calm and this post bright that.
I just got some tea that is called a “cup of calm” and I was looking forward to it – but it is not very tasty – hm
That water is without a bit of movement- so beautiful. The music a perfect accompaniment. First thing I heard this morning when I arose- perfect. Have a good weekend and stay calm. I could use some calm this weekend too. 🙂
Hi P
My Calm tea turned out to taste a little better the second time – maybe the boiling water made a difference as the first time was tepid –
But these orange creamsicle flowers 🌺 made me think of your Thursday special :
What a blissful composition, Paula. Am just on my way to bed with my cup of camomile tea. Can’t think of a lovelier accompaniment, image and music.

What an idyllic vista. Although it is calming it makes me think of romance which perhaps quickens the pulse a little too much. Beautiful image.

Thank you so much, Meg. It amazed me how completely calm the surface was. Nothing could disturb that water.

This is just a common boat. I was thinking of pletna, typical boat on Bled.
