Black & White Sunday: Artificial Light

The theme of today’s black and white photo challenge is artificial light. You have a week to respond.

Keep it burning

I will be very busy next week, so there will be no challenges, and I will not be challenging you on Christmas or New Year’s Day which means that the next Black and White Sunday is in 2017.

I will keep you posted on future events on Scheduled challenges page.

  2. 2017 already!! I hope your busyness is pleasure and that the Christmas season and the new year give you happiness and all you can wish for. And for me? More and more of your wonderful photos. This one is a perfect end to the year, especially the balance and those circles. It’s nice to end the year with your signature flame.

    1. 🙂 This is the last monochrome one, but I hope to bring you some smiles with a few in colour still 😉 Please be around, there will be some “easy challenges” the last two weeks in December.

  4. Funny but I never think of candles as artificial light, though they are, of course. Beautifully illustrated, Paula, and that rendition of Sound of Silence is wonderful. Wishing you a joyful Christmas season and hoping you achieve all that you need to. Sending hugs 🙂 🙂

    1. Thank you, Jo. I love light in whatever form I may find it, and if not, I have to create some myself 😉 Simon and Garfunkel are my favourite musical duo, and I was really surprised how much I preferred this rendition by Nouela.

  5. I’m seconding Jo on all points, Paula. Such a great image – so many shades around the flame.

  11. We are using a lot of artificial light today Paula. It is grey and snowing outside.
Hope you get everything done next week so that you can get ready for Christmas.

    1. I can’t rely on natural light at all this year, not at work, not at home. This year Christmas falls on a Sunday and the same goes for the New Year. I don’t get any holidays. Still too much work these weeks so I have to skip a week on blog.

This voice is beautiful. I don’t like it like I like the Simon & Garfunkel version. I like this one differently. This one sounds fresh. It’s like her melancholy is like that of a clear mirror in a yellow evening.

Actually the yellow evening is also cool somehow… It is like near the ocean.
Does the voice have a name?
