Wonderful Paula- the blue building behind, the beautiful yellow building and the brick wall- love the music too!! I always love that it’s still Wednesday here when I see your Thursday’s special 🙂 Will get to work on this!
I’m very glad to hear that Lisa. If I didn’t schedule my posts, I would not be able to publish anything. It’s a push that I am giving myself. So glad you are enjoying Arctic Monkeys too 😀
Goldenrod and blue. Quite the combination. I think I’ve seen a flag or a banner somewhere with these colours complementing each other nicely. I wonder if I figure out where I saw it.
And I’m up! It turns out the only juxtaposition I had was a plastic robot and flowers. Does it have a deeper meaning? I don’t know. I really haven’t the slightest idea. I thought I might discover something that looked like your great picture, but I kept finding flowers. With Robbie. The Robot. https://teepee12.com/2017/04/20/robbie-the-robot-with-flowers-juxtaposition-thursdays-special/
Marvellous…textures, colours, old and new, all nicely framed too! I’m off to do some exercise, then out with a friend, but then I’ll put my mind to this challenge! 😀
What matters most to me in these challenges is to see people have fun, and engage in a creative activity, doing things they did not think they could 🙂 I know how much good it does to me, to be creative, to make my mind busy with something positive 🙂 Thank you, Lisa. It is always so good to interact with you through words and images 🙂
Very nice indeed!
You do have a very good eye for these things.May I ask what camera you use, Paula? (If I have asked before put it down to me sometimes having the attention span of a gerbil)
Hello Ark. Thank you and of course you may. I used Canon Eos 70D. On this blog you may see photos taken with various gadgets: Ixus, Powershot, Canon Eos 450D, Canon Eos 60 D (which died aged 10 months). I would like to have a full frame some day, maybe.
Thank you for the question. I used full auto when I was at the ixus stage and first months with powershot, from then on I use my own manual modes. I want power. 😀
I have a reasonable creative eye but am a real dunderhead when it comes to the technical stuff.
I must go on a course …. yes I know there’s internet but I have no patience for some of that stuff.
What a lovely golden building Paula, certainly a shock with the glass building behind! I think a post I put up a few days ago probably works better than the one I have posted today, but it felt like cheating to go back and add the link. Nearly the weekend 😀

Oh yes, this is another good theme, Paula.
Your shot is certainly full of contrast, with a great example of old and modern, plus tidy and dilapidated.
