  2. Now that I’m back home, I may begin seeing what I can do with black and white, although your spectacular images make that a daunting thought. This one does indeed have a mysterious edge that takes it beyond mere reality, the reflections especially, for reasons I can’t pinpoint.

I’m out here. And normally I’d join in but already scheduled a post for Sunday. I love this shot, though, the play of shadow and light, the clarity, the smoothness of the water, the crisp, clean lines!

  5. hey Paula, the exposure is perfect and the mood of the photo goes perfectly with the song selection which happens to come from one of my favourite bands. City landscapes go so well in monochrome, at least in my opinion.

    1. True, city landscapes do well in b&w :). I am glad to hear you like Pink Floyd. Did you listen to Porcupine Tree too? Thank you for this marvelous review. xx

      1. Thanks Paula. I was planning to install my new computer this Sunday, but realized that it’s gotten damaged during transport.. Now I’ll have to ship it back and wait for it to be repaired… That’s a bummer.

        1. A major one :(. I woke up to some drilling on the floor above me, but restrained myself from cursing and swearing. The weather is so lousy lately that I don’t even feel like going outside, but that may be the only reasonable option today. In the meantime I have prepared the post for Jo’s walk (scheduled for tomorrow). I don’t have enough material or time to walk with her every Monday, but will try to make my appearance twice a month. Hope the little one is fully recovered now and that you will do something fun today 😉

  19. I totally missed-out on this one Paula. Again, very nice composition. I especially liked the angle you shot this from. It really helps communicate the largeness and grandeur of the subject. Have agree with Madhu, there’s something special about the colour version — I think it is that shade of blue.
