About Thursday’s Special: it is a colour photo challenge that takes place on Thursdays. Concrete themes are provided and announced well in advance. See the Scheduled Challenges page. You are supposed to make a post on the given theme (today it is nocturnal), link to this post, and leave your links in the comment section bellow. The deadline is Tuesday 13 September.
Last Thursday the theme was: Eyes or more narrowly eye contact, but I decided against posting the poll for the best entry, because it would not be fair to compare the eye of a child with that of a deer or a cat, or the eye of the Eiffel Tower. I would like you to see them all however, if you haven’t done that already. Here are the links.
Please click on the links bellow to see the participating entries:
Paula, I have said this before but Thanks you for sharing your amazing world here. I do not know for certain, for all things are possible even if they are not probable, that I will ever see your land and the wonderful places you share here. I am better for it. Peace~ John
Dear John, this photo is from my holiday in Portugal. Like you I would like to be able to travel more and see more of the world, but I am very grateful for every opportunity to see it even on Internet. Appreciate your comment a lot.
An ‘oohs and aahs’ shot, Paula! Pure bliss 🙂 And that music is exquisite.
Silly me- why ever did I think you’d post anything so predictable as an owl? Hope you’re well, sweetheart.
Oh, you are wonderful. You have provided two links to my confusing blog. Wonderful. Sorry for not clicking on both links. Thank you very much, Jo. It’s all more than fine.
I am glad that it took you back, Debbie. There are so many places we would like to revisit, aren’t they! Looking forward to seeing your shot of something nocturnal….
🙂 You should check the Scheduled challenges page. Next Thursday the theme will be a bit tricky – deconstruction, but I will gladly accept deconstructivism too.
Well I’m v. glad you gave me a week’s notice of this topic in person, Paula. Definitely food for thought. And I will try to remember to visit the Schedules page 🙂
What a beautiful atmospheric photo of Belém Tower in Lisbon, Paula. Did you use a tripod? If not, you managed to be very still for the photo, as it looks perfect! I love the music too. 🙂
Paula what a perfect setting and such vibrant colors captured at night- you have such a wonderful eye and talent. I am back to work so hope to join in over the weekend when I have more time. Enjoy your weekend.
Thank you kindly, Lisa. I am away from computer for the weekend, but have the Sunday post scheduled. I look forward to catching up though it will have to wait till Monday. Have a good, restful and creative weekend.
it isn’t but i look after both parents 24/7 and have no choice, last day off was a funeral and before that i got a 28 day break 2 years ago but got man flu and was very sick for about 5 weeks lol
i caught some nasty virus while in Asia and was sick for months, didn’t help as i did about 12 flights in 28 days which kills the head /ears when you have severe Nasal congestion
Where is this magical place? I bet it disappears at sunrise

That starburst, or whatever it is is, amazing! No entry from me. I have to learn night photography first. And secondly stay awake beyond darkness!
