THURSDAY’S SPECIAL: TRACES OF THE PAST Y3-07
It has been a few years since I was in Paris, but memories are not gone. The photo bellow shows a remarkable trace of the past in the form of church of St. Etienne, which you might also know from Woody Allen’s movie “Midnight in Paris”.

Traces of the Past is a recurrent photo challenge that happens every month (one month in colour as part of Thursday’s Special and the following month in black and white as part of Black & White Sunday). You are free to choose whatever traces of the past you can find. It does not have to be a distant one, or rich in history; it can be something personal, or it can even have a human form. Just make sure to post for it before next Thursday and to link to this blog. Happy Thursday! ž
You should really see beautiful collection of traces from the past provided by my followers:

You have magnificent castles. I have old farms from the 1700s. I cannot match your magnificence, but that’s about as old as western civilization gets in this part of the world.

I loved “Midnight in Paris”! And I love your photo. I’m caught up with races of my past: my children!

Fabulously caught. The angled shot adds just a hint of nostalgia, the sort of feeling one always has about Paris, and the soundtrack to match.

What a lovely portal, Paula! 🙂 🙂 The music is calm and oh, so Parisienne, but I noted from your response to Tish that life is anything but for you again. So sorry for the stress!

Wonderful capture of the church, Paula. Great warmth in the colours and just enough people to give it life without being cluttered. I love it.
Your image and the music have made me want to get back to Paris! Not likely to happen soon, so I think I’ll watch the film instead.
It took me ages to think of something for this week’s traces of the past, but here we are at last: https://travelwithintent.com/2017/07/15/el-oso-y-el-madrono/
