Every Victory Counts

Being the first month of the year, January can’t be all that bad; after all the year is still young and promising no matter how strange the results of parliamentarian elections turned out to be, or how deranged the bosses in my company became trying to hold on to their jobs. This month has dealt me some crazy cards and after throwing madly the…

Thursday’s Special: Organised Noise

Tobias M. Shiel today’s guest and photo challenger at Lost in Translation invited us to apply the concept of organised noise to photography. In his inspiring post, Tobias elaborates the idea and gives us some very useful pointers as to how to approach this theme. Here is my response:       Please join Tobias with this challenging theme and leave links and tags…

Weightless

Weightless is the theme for this week’s official photo challenge.     P.S. I still don’t have the weekly photo challenge widget, but I hope that my friend Cardinal Guzman will make one as he normally does at the start of the year. In any case they have always been more imaginative and fun than official WordPress widgets…..  A couple of hours later …

Thursday’s Special: Robotic

Several hundred years into the future Earth is abandoned and covered in garbage left over from decades of mass consumerism. Human race had been evacuated from the planet leaving behind WALL-E trash compactor robots to clean the Earth for its eventual return.       My first TS challenge in 2016 tackles the theme of robots, robotic behaviour and way of thinking. In some…

Thursday’s Special: In the background

When thinking of a subject matter for your photo, you shouldn’t forget the background; after all it takes the better half of a photo. If messy, the background will be distracting and pull the viewer’s eye away from the subject of the photo. It can be either complementary to the subject or an integral part of it, or it can even make a  statement. Whatever…

Thought of the Day

If you repeat a lie a sufficient number of times, does it become true?

Minuscule is today’s photo theme, minuscule like for example condensed moisture drops on a water of bottle (ooops I meant a bottle of water)       Click on the titles bellow to see the participants’ entries: Minuscule by Ese  Minuscule by Debbie  Minuscule by Pommepal Minuscule by Tish Farrell Minuscule by Klara Minuscule by Art is Horseshit Minuscule by Irene Waters Minuscule by…

Thursday’s Special: Gold inside (response to guest challenge)

When I got the idea of inviting fellow bloggers to participate on my blog as guest photo challengers I honestly did not believe that I would manage to gather such a group of amazing talented photographers. I am particularly honoured and happy to have Ron participate today with his Gold inside theme. Please have a look at the linked post and show us what…

A fuoco

As long as you keep that fire alive….   “What subject keeps you coming back? This week, show us your muse.” The above photo with complimentary music is my response to this week’s official photo challenge.

ROY G. BIV

“Roy G. Biv: no, he’s not the new bagger down at the grocery store. “Roy G. Biv” is an acronym made of the first letters of the seven colors of the rainbow, to help you remember: Red. Orange. Yellow. Green. Blue.Indigo. Violet. It’s also your photo challenge theme for this week!*” says Michelle at the Weekly Photo Challenge, and here is my response:  …

Reason for Rainbows (or rainbow flowers)

This week the WordPress photo challenger is Lignum Draco. He is showcasing a series of photos from the Vivid Festival of Sydney, but allows us to interpret the “vivid” theme the way we like. The only condition is to have fun. Here follows my choice for today along with some vivid music. Have a fun Friday everybody!
