Shooting birds on the lake

I wasn’t the only one with a “Canon” that day. Two more people were aiming at restless flyers… I know it is not an excuse, but here I come bringing pictures….

Today Jo is showing us London by moonlight. A beautiful site indeed with some great dining too.

A Walk Around a Lake for Jo

(I’m sorry the music has a 40 sec delay)

This Monday I am taking you for a walk around Lago di Piano in northern Italy, close to the border with Switzerland.

It all started the night before when I was standing high above Lugano Lake on mountain Sighignola on a spot called Balcone d’Italia. I did not conform to visiting just Lugano Lake and the town, but was determined to explore some smaller lakes near by. The view lead me to Lago di Piano, a small jewel of a lake that was proclaimed a Nature Reserve. The plan was made to visit it the following day some time before sunset. Here is what I saw:

As every Monday Jo is taking us for a walk; today it is a fun and picturesque walk beside River Wisla in Poland. Please visit her blog and see what her readers are offering this Monday.

**About Thursday’s Special: It is a ‘non-challenge’ challenge that appeals to bloggers eager to wake up their creativity and show their own ideas and interpretation of the world. I invite everybody interested to join in. There are no themes, titles and techniques set for your expression, there are no limits and restrictions (no red tape whatsoever). The only thing required is to post a photo post on Thursdays entitled “Thursday’s Special: (your theme/title)” (as explained in my Thursday’s Special introductory post), to provide a link to my Thursday’s Special post, and to leave a link to your post in the comments section of my post. If you like Thursday’s Special widget, feel free to grab it and post it on your blog.

R.I.P.

While I was walking along our local lake today, I stumbbled upon an unidentified corpse. Can someone help me identify it?

SUNDAY POST: Peaceful

Is there a nicer, more important word than peace? (well, except for love)
When I need peace I turn to nature, most often to small lakes with still, mirrored surfaces where I can reflect and ponder in peace.
Here is the photo that says peaceful to me.

This is my response to Jake’s Sunday Post challenge.

Weekly Photo Challenge: REFLECTIONS

I guess I should tell you how this picture happened. Well, I’ll only say that it was taken on a lake and that the person in picture wasn’t aware he was being photographed, nor was I that I was taking my self-portrait 😀  I dedicate the attached music to myself. Please listen to Lady of the Lake 😉
