I wish I could say “Summer’s in the air“, but it is not the case here, not yet. The weather has been wild for the last couple of weeks.
Here I give you a few snapshots of summer the way it is in the Adriatic. I can still recall the smell of the sea, the late summer breeze and the joy that sounds of waves splashing over rocks bring me.
Lovely photos, I love the fifth one from the top .. looking over the trees at the sun twinkling on the sea . I can image the sparkle. Thanks for the image you have planted in my mind. (smiles)
Lovely Paula. The stone “window” and the two trees with the stone wall are my fav’s of the bunch, but they are all quite nice and summery. Great colors in the rocks in your favorite as well.
Thank you Jeff 🙂 I had problems uploading the photos in the order I wanted. It got messed up during the post publishing processs – grrrr, but at least it is here 🙂
All beautiful photos. I love anything ocean. I never knew how beautiful Croatia is until a friend went there on vacation and brought back photos. Such beauty. And I have to say, my favorite is also the window one 🙂
Beautiful images that truly celebrates the essence of Summer. These words comes to life through your photos, “I can still recall the smell of the sea, the late summer breeze and the joy that sounds of waves splashing over rocks bring me.” Have a great Summer!
This too was taken at the end of summer… I waited for beaches to empty. I almost never go to the beach in summer, not in my country… but I get a sudden urge to do it when it is almost over. I like the smell of the sea. In full season I can only smell sun tan lotion 😛

Gorgeous pictures… That’s it, I’m tired of the rain where I live, I’m saving up my money and buying a plane ticket to somewhere sunny! 🙂
