Build me a castle

Build me a castle

To make me safe and warm

Overlooking a lake and a big bee swarm

Hide me from people in a tower tall and twirled

Put me on a cloud high above this world.

Sometimes I feel like being kitschy … I haven’t figured why yet, maybe to fight the cynic in me. Here is my photo and some lowbrow verses combined with music that I don’t really find kitschy, but quite beautiful.

Corsica: Just the beginning

Some of you know I’ve been away for eight days exploring Corsica. It has been all that I had expected and more :).

The first photo in the series was taken on my first morning walk on the beach where I was staying in a small town of  San Fiurenzu. Please listen to some Corsican music while you are here.

Thank you for all the comments and visits while I was away.

Love,

Paula

A Multi-coloured Dream

Puzzled by my recurring dream of water and boats I did some Internet search for a possible interpretation.

Here is what they have told me: “To dream that you are in or see a boat signifies your ability to cope with and express your emotions. To dream that you are in a rowboat symbolizes hard work and perseverance. You are coping with your problems and emotions in your own way and at your own pace. Consider the condition of the water…”

Since the water surface is calm, I guess I am facing some smooth sailing, and as there are several boats in the picture I think I should need some company on my way…;)

The attached music is by Alan Parsons Project: Freudiana II.

The theme of this post is a dream and an interpretation of it, but I also entered it for Marianne’s multicoloured challenge. On the following link you can find out more about her CBBH monthly photo challenge

According to the propositions of the challenge I should mention two blogs I have commented on recently… It is my great pleasure to introduce you to Patti of nylondaze , and Stephen of stephenkellycreative blog. Patti will take you for a walk in the streets of NY, and Stephen will show you a lot of Frisco and teach you about art among other things. I enjoy both Patti’s and Stephen’s photography immensely.

Weekly Photo Challenge: BEYOND

If you look beyond, you will see unimaginable beauty.

SUNDAY POST: Goals

Something keeps calling me to Italian lakes over and over again, and it shall be one of my goals for this summer. Hopeful to discover more places like Orta San Giulio I am enclosing a photo I took two summers ago.

Thank you Jake for making us think of our goals or in my case dreams ;). I’ve just realised this is my 100th post 🙂 I hope it is milestone-worthy.

Black and White Stuff – Sequel

I have decided this is going to be B&W week, not in my dressing style but in my blog appearance.

It has been great fun converting my old shots into black and white…. Maybe you will like them too 🙂
